DEVELOPMENTAL SOCCER CLINIC FOR KIDS AGES 5-12
SKILLS INSTITUTE Summer 1 and Sumer 2 Session Schedules
Summer 1 -> June 21st to July 31st
Summer 2 -> August 2nd to September 11th
Classes are a minimum of 2 children and a maximum of 10 children, with a 10:1 player to coach ratio.
Skills Institute is a developmental soccer program for boys and girls ages 5-12 years. With an 10:1 player to coach ratio, players will receive plenty of one-on-one attention as they explore their potential in the target areas of soccer. Skills Institute has a strong technical emphasis on soccer, but in addition, our curriculum allows coaches to adapt instruction to individual player differences. This means that within a group framework, each player receives personalized lessons that move the player to that player’s own next level of expertise, so that they become more valuable players to their current and future teams.
This personalized, adaptive approach to teaching fundamental soccer skills, when combined with the Skills Institutes’ low player-to-coach ratio, results in a fun, fast-paced learning environment that inspires players to achieve their personal goals as athletes, whether playing on club or school teams, or playing pick-up soccer with friends.
PLEASE WEAR/BRING THE FOLLOWING TO CLASS:
Clothing: We ask that your child comes to class in comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to run around in. Our Skills Institute uniform is popular to wear to class. You can purchase the jersey (red or white) at the Sports City front desk.
Water: Please bring a bottle of water for your child.
Shinguards: We strongly recommend that any child participating in Skills Institute classes wear shinguards and long socks for safety as children learn the game.
